RTS200: A New and Great 200mm Mini Quadcopter

These are ARF combos of the new RTS200 200mm mini quad that released by FPV Model. The RTS200 is an excellent mini racing quad. It features fast, stable cross flight. Made of carbon fiber, the weight is light but very strong and you will no worry serious damage when crashing. Simple structure yet ensure you get a proper position for all your equipments put on. Reasonable design and precise detail equiped with our recomended equipments that make sure you get a super cool flying experience. This will be a good option for people who enjoy the fast violent crossing flying or air racing.

The ARF combo inlcudes almost everything you need for the RTS200 building work. It's matched with our quality Dragonfly 1306 motor KV3100 motors and Dragonfly 12A ESC and you will get a fast violent flying. As per FPV Model's internal test, the flight time is up to 12 minutes.

A Teardown of DJI Phantom 3

The DJI Phantom 3 is an easy to use, fully integrated package with an intelligent system that helps you fly. Its live HD feed streams directly from your camera, bringing you an immersive, vivid view of everything below.  Adding a new dimension, automatic video editing software and live streaming capabilities let you share what you see instantly. Let’s tear down the machine to have a better understanding of this product.

The same to DJI Phantom 2, each arm of DJI Phantom 3 comes with four holes.

Start to tear it down.

Phantom 3 are locked by Torx screws, you have to disassemble the machine with the suitable screwdriver.

It is not easy to disassemble Phantom 3 after remove the screws. The arms are secured by the inside fasteners.

Use the cards, finally found the positions of inside fasteners, (see the positions marked in red circles).

Finally successfully open the Phantom 3.

We can see from below picture that the inside constructure of Phantom 3 has already been greatly changed comparing to Phantom 2. It is an all-in-one circuit board, looks more clean and clear. The surface of circuit board is protected by waterproof coating.

Open the 3-axis gyro case, we can see it is well-protected.

There’s a SD card in the middle of main board to record flight data.

The GPS, which is inside a shielding film, is the same to DJI Phantom 2.

GPS not changed, still a universal one.

Compared to Phantom 2 which contains a flight controller in the board center and four ESCs in the arms, Phantom 3 is a higly-integrated all-in-one circuit board, clean and clear. But is it good for heat radiation? What if some parts broken? We can replace the ESC of phantom 2 if damaged, but how if the ESC of Phantom 3 damaged? Send back to DJI for a repair?

Continue to tear down Phantom 3.  Now comes the acoustic sensor positioning module, an important upgrade in Phantom 3.  What on the other board are RX and TX modules.

Continue, tear down the acoustic and image sensor positioning module. Remove the four screws and directly open it.

Tear down the TX and RX, totally four SMA fasteners,  the antennas are on the four foot stools.

Remove the ribbon cables and fasteners.

TX will be quite hot at work, so there’s a mini fan for heat radiation.

Black and Silver Versions of 2014 New Skyhunter Plane Released

The black version and silver version of 2014 new Skyhunter 1.8M airplane has just been released on May 7th. The new looks will give the flyers more choices.

2014 New Skyhunter 1.8M Airplane is a professional FPV & UAV EPO aircraft, suitable for long time flight with low throttle or aerobatics with high throttle. By using 4s 25000mAh battery, the maxium take-off weight can up to 3.5kg, and the flight time can reach 100 minutes.

The new Skyhunter FPV Plane comes with three high strength carbon fiber tubes (Main wing carbon rod: 12mm x10mm x1200mm x1; Tail carbon rod: 14mm x12mm x800mm x2 ). The main wing is fixed with four high intensity M5 screws (also reserved the rubber band hole, normally not required).

Tail pipe, main wing and horizontal tail are connected by ABS plastic + fast disassembling fixing screw nut.

Huge Space, with wood chips can pull plate layer (layer cell, the upper flight control, receiver and FPV equipment).

Two layer position adjustable height, body side spaces left the cabin door, convenient to put into large scale equipment. Battery position and empennage structure length can be adjusted optionally, convenient for different head weight.

The whole machine is added with a glass rod, carbon and reinforcement treatment, guarantee a maxium take-off weight of 3500 grams.
