Some Important Parts of a FPV System

FPV is short for First Person View. Some people may also call it Remote Person View (RPV). It is usually used to pilot an UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) or a radio-controlled aircraft.

A FPV system consists of a FPV camera, radio transmitter, ESC (Electronic Speed Control), FPV gimbal, AV receiver, GPS/antennas, and a video display. Sometimes also include OSD (On Screen Display) the FPV goggles.

Above FPV accessories are the most important parts to a FPV system. FPV camera connects to FPV transmitter which will send audio and video signals to a AV receiver, and finally all the information shown on display. FPV player can see the information also on FPV goggles.

Radio transmitter: transmitting and sending audio/video signals to the FPV AV Receiver.

FPV camera: it connects directly to the radio transmitter. If image quality DOES matter to you, better buy a good FPV camera. Considering to weight, battery situation and flying time, you'll need to buy FPV camera with suitable size and weight.

FPV Gimbal: Something assembled on FPV plane to mount the FPV camera.

AV receiver: It is used for receiving the signal sent by the radio transmitter.

The video display: It is used for displaying the video received by the AV receiver. During a FPV flying, we can easily find whether the signal is strong or week to ensure the FPV flying in an excellent condition.

The Antennas: Antennas have a very important role in the performance of your FPV system. The bigger the sensibility of the Antenna connected to the receiver, the better and the stronger the video signal will be.
